Writing a Killer Bio
This weekend, after cleaning out my email, tying up loose ends with work projects, organizing my bookmarks, lusting after makeup on sale online, and learning more about Mac keyboard shortcuts, I quit with all the awesome productivity (oh, the things I can do on a rare lazy weekend) and checked this article on Lifehacker, How to Write a Killer Bio.
Now, bios are difficult, at least for me, because I love to read cool, witty bios, thinking, “Man, I should write something cool and witty for myself.” And then I remember all those frequent occasions where I say something that sounds cool and witty in my head and it comes out of my mouth as something that…wasn’t. Anyways…
I have to say now that sometimes I succeed at the wittiness, so I’ll try my hand that this “killer bio ” thing one more time, something humorous that humanizes me and fits my brand (yea, see the article):
Personal:
Sherelle, while often being described as “really sweet”, “feisty”, and “friendly”, is more often well-described by her closest friends as “sherelle” which is obviously a really sweet, feisty, friendly, all-encompassing quality not usually applied to the Kimberleys and Donnas of the world. She has been known to try almost everything once, including bungee-jumping, and has been told that if you can judge a person by their room, Sherelle’s room is an organized mess with everything in its station. Sherelle is a voracious reader, and will politely steal your most interesting books if you are not careful. Please do feed the animal.
Professional:
Sherelle Salaver is a jack of all humanistic trades, having graduated with her bachelors in Sociology and Business Administration, working in social media and public affairs, and pursuing her masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Being able to lead and follow as needed, Ms. Salaver prefers to work quickly and effectively in consideration of others. She has five years of experience in Customer Service: the good, the bad, and the ugly. Her ability to quickly research and soak in information allows her figure “stuff” out for you that you may not have ever figured out on your own. She enjoys rock-climbing and helping businesses use social media effectively.
Meh. Bring it on, critics.
